Eduroam for students, employees, and visitors
Eduroam is AU’s wireless network for students, employees and visitors from other research and teaching institutions.
Installation of eduroam is important for the protection of your username and password when using AU's wifi.
Apple iOS has changed. The CATTOOL does not pop up. When the file is downloaded the profile needs to be installed through settings. Start Then general and profile. Otherwise see step-by-step guide.
Eduroam is a global collaboration which also gives AU students and employees free access to the wireless network at other teaching and research institutions allover the world. Find Eduroam partners here

Start by downloading the setup profile from cat.eduroam.org
1. Check that it says Aarhus University
2. Press the blue button "eduroam" (You might need to scroll down)
14. Write your password. Your password is the same, as the one you use on mit.au.dk or your AU webmail

Start by downloading the setup file from cat.eduroam.org
1. Check it says Aarhus University
2. Press the blue "eduroam" button
3. og 4. Find the downloaded file by either pressing the button shown on 3. Or by finding it in the folder Downloads shown on 4.
7. Write in your username. Your username is au<AUID>@uni.au.dk (Fx au123456@uni.au.dk)
8. Write your password and repeat it in the box below. Your password is the same, that you use on mit.au.dk or your AU webmail

Please be aware of the following:
- Do not connect to Eduroam while setting up the network
- Eduroam must be removed from the list of connected network before the installation, if you've been connected to Eduroam before. This can be achieved by forgetting Eduroam under network settings.

1. Start by checking that you've chosen Aarhus University
2. Choose eduroam, and then the download should start
3. Now the program should be downloaded, and it should be showing automatically. If not, then you can show the list by clicking on the down arrow as shown. Then click on the downloaded file.
10. Write your AU-id as shown below and here: (auxxxxxx@uni.au.dk)
11. Write your password (The same one you us for mitstudie.au.dk or mit.au.dk)

7. Enter your AU-id (auXXXXXX@uni.au.dk) as shown below, followed by your password (same as used on mitstudie.au.dk)
If you are using a PC supplied by AU with Windows 10 or 11, you don’t need to install eduroam yourself. All you need to do is connect to eduroam and enter your user name and password as described below. The rest has already been set up for you.

By using Aarhus University’s wireless network, you agree to comply with the rules in AU’s information security guide.
The university reserves the right to carry out scans of the net with a view to determine which computers are connected to it, and which services they use.
You must ensure that your computer has updated anti-virus software, and that all updates to the operating system and other security updates are installed.
You must not do anything that interferes with the operation of the wireless network. This includes using an unreasonably large percentage of the available bandwidth.
It is illegal and against university rules to copy or share films, music, software or other copyrighted material without the permission of the copyright holder.
